Adsense

I've decided to put adsense on my blog to see if I'd get anything out of it. Right now, there appears to be links to squirrel exclusion/removal websites, which is certainly not what this blog is about. I guess the adbots or whatever look for certain keywords. As long as they are not links to lethal control of squirrels, I don't have a problem. However, I would like some input on this.

Adsense wasn't working out, so I removed the ads. I think it would only work if this blog got like millions of hits per day, which it obviously doesn't.

I've noticed those ads on squirrel removal on different squirrel lists I look at. The worst is when they have recipes or how to skin them or worse. I want to reach through the computer and strangle those horrible people.

When I started my blog 3 and a half years ago I opened it up to ads, but quickly removed them. It was distracting and counterproductive. I had a little more control over who placed ads - I went through a third party but it wasn't Adsense. Still I felt it took away from what the blog was about.

As long as it is productive to your blog and relevant to the content... what does it matter if a company gets a benefit from the back link. We own one of these companies but we are the only trapping company in Georgia who also has a wildlife rehabber on staff. We go above and beyond for the humanity of the squirrels so why remove our posts if it has a backlink.
